I'd like to quote from The Derb, but VDare is fundraising and access to it's archives is interrupted.
Nevertheless, one of the points Derbyshire made in criticizing a more violent scenario by Matt Bracken is that he thinks the government will have more control than Bracken imagines, and posits instead a future apartheid system along the lines of Northern Ireland with barriers established to keep blacks and whites separate.
Derbyshire also imagines that totalitarianism is possible, but when it comes to race, we already have it.
Black Mayor Andrew Young promised whites who moved out of Atlanta that, "wherever you go, we will follow."
He was right although it takes the power of the State to make it happen.
Asians have been joining whites in the suburbs, though.
But blacks who destroyed Gary, Indiana are in the process of doing the same to Merriville, a town the whites from Gary fled to and established a fine, low crime, good schools, commercial town.
And how Gwinnett Country next to Atlanta has suffered the same fate as Merriville.
Also, federal judges have forced cities like Memphis to export blacks out of inner cities into white residential areas through Section Eight housing vouchers and making suburbs provide low income housing or else.
And:
A town in Connecticut deliberately tried to keep out non-white residents from settling in the area, according to a lawsuit. You see, the town does distribute grants for housing, but to be eligible, you have to live in the town or 16 other nearby communities which are nearly all white.
But some blacks in Hartford want to live where people are nice, decent, and law abiding (while they don't have to work). That is, they want to live among whites, not recognizing that they are the tip of a spear that destroys nice places.
Who wants to bet that the town will lose the lawsuit?
Thus, we have a totalitarian government making it impossible for whites (and Asians) to create communities where they and their children can thrive because once they do, the Feds and State uses lawfare to deny people the basic right of freedom of association.
How long can this continue? Who knows? Derbyshire expects apartheid. Bracken expects race war. I expect a muddled picture even if the USA breaks into Regions. The same damn lawyers, judges, and ACLU types will be active to undermine every cohesive action by whites and Asians.
I had presumed in my own scenario that when the money runs out that blacks will have to go to work, but I'm beginning to doubt that.
For one thing, there will be so much wealth still around in the Regions that they can probably afford to feed and house blacks and others. Then, too, who among whites and Asians will want to hire blacks for any task no matter how menial or simple?
They probably won't let anyone starve, so they'll probably perpetuate a lot of the welfare state. If they don't, they'd have to become a lot more ruthless and vicious; and as said before, Americans don't like doing things that get them called names or admit to themselves their actions are harsh (even if the acts are merited and necessary).
Gosh, but we live in a thoroughly absurd civilization. We have completely lost the knowledge of how to live.

True in most cases...but we can unlearn that reluctance when the occasion demands it. And we'd bloody well better unlearn it before the "entitled classes" complete the transformation of this country into one huge pigpen.

True, and here's the way to prove it:
