Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord

I've been reading lots of comments and posts around the Right on the web.

Instapundit is a libertarian, so he publishes comments and makes his own about social conservatives. You often hear the libertarians dismiss social conservatives as the loonies that give the Republican brand a bad name, what with their attitude towards abortion, pornography, sodomite partnerships (pseudo-marriage), drugs, and such. What killjoys.

Indeed, Christian and Jewish morality is a stumbling block for many, and it's quite possible that it hurts Conservatism more than it helps.

Maybe social conservatives should just go some place among themselves with their atavistic morality and leave the rest alone. They can oin in the vote for limited govt but leave everyone else alone. Maybe that's the ticket the Right needs to reclaim and restore America.

But wisdom and Adams, Washington, Patrick Henry, Jefferson, and Franklin tell us that a Republic cannot survive unless the people are religious and traditionally moral.

Many people on the Right simply don't want to acknowledge that their unalienable rights can only come from God, and if that's true, then they must reckon with the divine even if it's merely to pay lip service and closet their apathy and disinterest of any spiritual dimension.

In the maintenance of civic virtues, it's no good for a society to order a la carte from a menu of qualities. I won't be slothful, but lust and greed seem okay to me.

Some people are saying that at least half the country is still sensible. We can win this if we get back to work. But they forget that everyone who could of voted and didn't, tacitly consented to the evil that is Obama. We are not split in half. More like in thirds like around the time of the Revolution where the revolutionaries guessed that a third were loyalists, a third, patriots, and a third, indifferent.

****

I wonder if any state governor along with a legislature will ever have the cajones to invoke the 10th Amendment and nullify some Federal act that abuses its sovereignty.

Does Texas have the nerve? If they don't, it will be a blue state in no time.

Anybody else want to step up to the plate? Wyoming? Utah? Kansas?

****

For years I've been telling people that conservatives need to get their message out by running commercials that explain why, in brief and entertainingly, the rule of law, free markets, liberty, and so on are of such value.

If the politicians won't teach the way Reagan could, get the admen to do it for them. But they never do. They never learn. Conservative Inc. is bereft of creativity.

Why is there no conservative NPR? Why does it have to be Rush, Savage, Prager, Medved, Hewitt, Levin, all spewing the same thing everyday at different volumes?

We lost everything when we lost the culture.

It's nonsense.
Those who vote for Marxists are soft criminals.
They understand that their votes will allow them to get something for nothing. They know its immoral but justify to themselves by rationalizing that its fair and they need it.
Trying to educate them is like telling muggers that their criminal actions are illegal and teaching them that their actions hurt others.
They know it and made a decision to move FORWARD with their plans.
