Which is what we did exactly.

William Bradford's courage, and that of the 102 souls who gave birth with such terrible effort to the country and the freedoms we celebrate this week [Thanksgiving 2009], is surely worth taking a moment to remember. It is also perhaps a moment to remember the inscription on Bradford's grave, the English translation from the Latin as follows:

"What our forefathers with so much difficulty secured, do not basely relinquish."
