I came across a picture on Facebook that broke my heart too deeply to express. It was mislabeled as from an American abortuary, but not a fake as many later thought. It was from the Nepal News. It was a picture of dead babies found near a river, discarded as trash and believed to have been illegal abortions although abortion is now legal in Nepal.
These babies look as though they simply need some life breathed back into them, and you would scoop them up and take them home.
Rather than the pictures of tiny babies often displayed as gruesome examples of abortion, these aren't like that, but bring home even better the human tragedy of human indifference.
