The idea of fallen man is compelling and is a powerful conceptual weapon against the reigning "we are as gods" view of limitless human opportunities. Those with a Christian orientation have a pleasing humility, much in contrat to the insufferable hubris of intellectuals and secular zealots.

How Christians should witness to the world isn't for me to say. Still, when I experienced a terrible depression many years ago, it was songs with the simplest lines hinting at God's or Christ's love that were the greatest comfort. As was the concern of one person, quite minimal, all told.

Col. I have participated in a Faith group this last year, which taught me a lot about my Church.

I'm going to go to this week's meeting, and suggest that we consider some outreach to the greater community - what Christianity is, what holidays are, WHY it's important to include in your life.

Because, as I see it, we're increasing surrounded by heathens and pagans - of the "spiritual", "mystical", Gaia-worshipping, secular/Leftist, and too-chicken-to-risk-hearing-that-they-need-to-change-their-lives types.
Linda Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15024201252345608291noreply@blogger.com
