They tell themselves that our side is 'Hitler' and 'Brownshirts'. They ignore their own knowledge of us, and - often uneasily - pressure us to be quiet in the face of lies.

They just can't bring themselves to believe that their friends would outright lie to them. But, they can't believe that our reasoned, factual rebuttal of the lies is correct. So, they solve this cognitive dissonance by telling themselves that we have been brainwashed by Breitbart News and Rush Limbaugh. This helps them to accept our opposition - hey, they are just deluded, not evil. With patient effort, we may - Goddess Willing - de-program them.

Wrong. We are clearheaded, and, thanks to alternative media, prepared to stand our ground.

I had a dream last night. That this ever-increasing rhetoric, lies, and violence is beginning to breach their cognitive defenses. That, the non-crazed Progressives - those not hanging solely with others of their kind, and willing to commit crimes to overthrow the validly elected President and his administration - will come into the Light.Linda Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15024201252345608291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557458849091969678.post-89606678278981113512018-07-09T09:26:14.575-04:002018-07-09T09:26:14.575-04:00The hoity toity conservative pundits of the the li...The hoity toity conservative pundits of the the likes of George Will are symbolic of the true reason why Trump existed as a candidate and now exists as president. The 'above the fray' rhetoric reminds me of GW Bush and his refusal to rebut the lies of the left throughout his 2 terms and then the 2 terms of Obama. Conservatives as well as moderate republicans felt betrayed by their lack of support. While the elites of the conservative and republican party movements all go to bed every night in their lofty ivory towers, the average common man is out here dealing with the rabble and debris of the left. These people; the Deplorables; are the foot soldiers of the right. I cannot remember in my lifetime feeling more betrayed than I have since 2001 to 2016.

Now that Trump is president they, the George Wills of our world, all act the same as they did with Obama in the White house. They refuse to rally around the victory that Donald Trump has been so far and you have to ask yourself WHY??? Why do they go so far as to be MEVER TRUMPERS?

It is because people like George Will, GW Bush etal are not interested in advancing capitalism and conservatism. They are focused solely on control and power. They see Trump as a usurper of the throne and an upstart who needs his nose bloodied. They are invested in the egalitarian elite and not ever in the fate of the common citizen of the country. They detest the fact that Trump went around them directly to the people and it worked.

The left's leaders are pretty much the same. These are the ones moving around behind the scenes. These are not the people like Maxine Waters. These people keep low profiles.

All of these people are in 'The Club'. That socially oriented exclusive group of a few who reside 'above the fray' fully insulated from the outcomes of elections and policy. Bernie Sanders rails against this class of people and yet, he belongs to it. His myopic followers do not see this, or they choose to ignore it.

We see the hypocrisy of the left but in reality, it is the entire system that wears that crown. All of these movers and shakers have become fantastically rich once they joined this exclusive club. This divide between the citizen and the power elite will only get worse. The power of money and influence is an intoxicant to these elites and they crave more. The divide between the average citizen and this group will grow bigger.

The politics of the future are going to be interesting. I see a comparison to France Pre-revolution. Depending on how things go, it will be very interesting. The French went through several variations with their revolution until they got to a place where things settled down. If we are in a soft civil war, where will that go next?

One huge fly in the ointment would be a smooth talking svengali similiar to Obama but this person would be the liberal equivalent to Trump. A person such as this could take this nation to very dark places and especially if he or she decides to take the elite down a few notches.....Glenda T Goodehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01124547784959889077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557458849091969678.post-31707979275917409172018-07-09T08:51:04.088-04:002018-07-09T08:51:04.088-04:00I'll give an "Amen" to that, Francis...I'll give an "Amen" to that, Francis. I recently stopped commenting at a site I've been visiting for at least four years because many of the people (including the site owner) have become so invested in neverTrumpism they have become "the enemy". It used to be a conservative site but now has a few conservatives, several neverTrumpers and some brand spankin' new leftist commenters. It turned into HuffPo lite.
