It simply doesn't occur to them that evil people could ape patriotic officials but have a malodorous agenda of their own. They make the mistake of thinking that others are universally like themselves.

The movies of my youth did not celebrate pathologies like, say, the Hannibal Lecter movies. Americans were portrayed positively and the Cuban Dezi Arnez was beloved for his "Lucy. You got some 'splain' to do." Now American culture is portrayed as a diseased and the cure will only come from 280-lb. black football players and "strong" women. At a minimum the average citizen has to be bewildered and looking to supposedly learned people like Supreme Court justices is an exercise in futility. They recently affirmed such thinking as tax isn't really a tax until it, well, needs to be a tax. If that's what the supposed guardians of the sacred flame come up with, good luck to anyone looking to plot a sure course through this ongoing train wreck.

Great video clip, Nitzakhon. Someone observed that communism is just socialism in a hurry. And as Steve Deace has said, "Expediency is ALWAYS the wrong choice." Statutes and case law often have their weak points but allowing for untrammeled discretion is the definition of horror. "Shoot the mad dog" was allegedly the constant refrain of Bolshevik tribunals during the Civil War. The victims of such an approach probably wondered what objective criteria defined the phenomenon of a mad dog.

I despair of the ability of one or a hundred media sources to turn on the light in anyone's head. Just reading The Gulag Archipelago was a life-changing event for me. Srsly. But millions get exposed to some aspect of the truth even in our fractured times but no light comes on. I'm partial to the Velcro theory of mental health. People don't stay mentally healthy because of one blinding truth or a set of such truths but by being exposed to reality in their jobs and through their associations with family, friends, and other people they come in contact. A person extending courtesy by holding a door or greeting one is one "hook" that restrains or guides us. Too few or the wrong hooks and the human starts to drift away like someone in a sensory deprivation experiment. Politics, the media, films, and the culture are such that the hooks they present are diseased. Too few right kind of hooks or too many of the wrong hooks explains mass pathology well.

Col. B. He is absolutely right, of course, that the events of the past two years are nothing short of a coup and that the majority of the media have been completely complicit. I would take it a step further and say that the entire Dem Party has been complicit in supporting such efforts. Now there's little left to this sad, demented story, short of telling the American people the truth. Unfortunately, the story will be told by the same media who has been basically lying to the public, so, except for those that tune into Fox occasionally, the majority of Americans will not be made aware of the crimes committed against their country, by those that pretend to be their representatives. syd B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04536022701906707715noreply@blogger.com
