"Somewhe...I disagree only on one point, Fran:

"Somewhere in the future lies a point of no return, at which all prospect of deliberately ejecting the political class will have vanished."

That point will not come, unless you're talking about the literal end times.

The High think that such a time will one day be at hand, it is what sustains them, but it will never come (with the aforementioned exception in mind). They have always been wrong about that one particular point.

The Romans, the Karlings, the Nazis, the Soviets, all of them. No exceptions.

History really only does bend in one direction, and that direction is determined by human nature. We are created by our L-rd (or whatever deity or non-deity you other kind readers might believe or not believe in) to be yearning for liberty and the betterment of our own position in life. It can be discouraged, it can be beaten down to near submission, but that particular ember always burns within us regardless.

I'm fairly certain that the Ukrainian farmers during Stalin's pogroms weren't all that hopeful about things ever changing, but they did. The vast majority of them never lived to see it, but change it did.

Human nature is a force of nature. It cannot be changed. It can be coerced, cajoled, beaten down, but it will always remain the same.

We were made specifically with that in mind.

And, sooner or later, things will correct themselves. It is inevitable. What isn't inevitable, sadly, is that we will see it in our lifetimes. I fear that we are past that point already, but I pray that I'm wrong.

But ultimately that doesn't change anything. WE may never see justice or see the free America that we once knew, but our descendants will. Those that survive, because it will almost certainly be ugly.

But it will happen. Our job is to kindle that flame, to constantly remind ourselves, and others, that this too, shall pass.

Tyranny is unnatural. It can be made to exist, it has been made to exist, and as long as we are around, it shall continue to pop up. But it will always fall because it goes against the laws of nature.

We'll probably never see the true fall of this one, but that is what it is.

Tyranny goes against the will of G-d, and G-d is not an impartial observer. We'll have to do our bit, whatever that bit might be, but, to quote Sarah Hoyt: "In the end, we win, they lose."

Unless we choose to lose. Which really also won't matter, because our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren or generations past them won't.

Keep the faith.Misha Ihttp://nicedoggie.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557458849091969678.post-11743398426361688262015-04-22T12:29:24.794-04:002015-04-22T12:29:24.794-04:00If there were more than a handful of true conserv...If there were more than a handful of true conservatives in the House, Boehner would have been shit-canned instead of being permitted to conspire with the enemy. So, I think we can forget the RINO House, as well as the RINO Senate.

As has been said elsewhere numerous times, there is no voting our way out of this. As long as we refuse deal with them at _least_ as harshly as they deal with us, things will get worse. Much worse.

Reg Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14099612693763932005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557458849091969678.post-75112211354373559432015-04-22T09:51:33.721-04:002015-04-22T09:51:33.721-04:00"Somewhere in the future lies a point of no r...
"Somewhere in the future lies a point of no return, at which all prospect of deliberately ejecting the political class will have vanished. Somewhere nearer to the present lies a point at which the possibility of doing so non-violently will have been extinguished."

The point of doing so non violently is is very lose-or already here-remember this fairly recent brouhaha?....

http://thedeclination.com/shall-burn-house/

Let it burn-there's no longer any difference between GOP/Democrat-those who haven't yet given up on voting only have a choice between the lesser of two evils-the sooner it burns-the better.GamegetterIIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11963151027331481180noreply@blogger.com
