Read it. It's the usual quality, but I must complain: Jana is far too sensible, far too humble, and not nearly self-centered enough to be a successful actress.

Wish I could remember the name of the story - or its author - wherein a man who basically had it all, including a gorgeous wife, cheated on her routinely, but with a woman who was almost homely. IIRC, his explanation was that he felt great happiness having the attention of a good woman who loved him for himself. When his tryst was discovered, the surveillance merely showed him having a nice, home cooked meal, and then enjoyed just quietly sitting with his mistress, reading a paper while she knitted (if memory serves).

If memory serves, Reg, the plot line of the story you cite is almost exactly the story of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles. Charles was married to Lady Diana Spencer at the time, in a "marriage of state" typical of royal families, but his yearning for the peace and normality Camilla offered him was too great for him to resist.
