Quickies: The Feminization Of The Military

I hope you can endure one more left-liberal atrocity, Gentle Reader, because if I don’t post something about this, my head might just explode.

Yes, the reduction of America’s armed forces to just one more federal social program has been going on for some time. Barracks and warships now have partitions to separate male from female living quarters. Women are claiming a right to go into combat positions. Fitness standards have been reduced so women can claim to be Marines and apply to become SEALs. But this takes it to a new low:

Army ROTC cadets are complaining on message boards that they were pressured to walk in high heels on Monday for an Arizona State University campus event designed to raise awareness of sexual violence against women.

The Army openly encouraged participating in April’s “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” events in 2014, but now it appears as though ROTC candidates at ASU were faced with a volunteer event that became mandatory.

“Attendance is mandatory and if we miss it we get a negative counseling and a ‘does not support the battalion sharp/EO mission’ on our CDT OER for getting the branch we want. So I just spent $16 on a pair of high heels that I have to spray paint red later on only to throw them in the trash after about 300 of us embarrass the U.S. Army tomorrow,” one anonymous cadet wrote on the social media sharing website Imgr, IJReview reported Monday.

What’s next? Mandatory wearing of bras and pantyhose? Mandatory use of cosmetics? Mandatory training in how to flirt? Or perhaps a course in how to talk to the enemy nicely and persuade him to defect, rather than blowing his head off?

We have a military to defend the country and to protect our extraterritorial citizens and possessions. That means identifying, closing with, and destroying the enemy. There is no place in such an institution for this sort of pointless yet demeaning foolery.

Sometimes no words will suffice. Just a scream of rage that cannot be suppressed. Gentle Reader, I hope you’re feeling that scream mount inside you as you read this. If you’re not, kindly keep it to yourself.

  1. I saw the beginning of this crap back in '89 when I was in. I was one of those rare people who didn't have a used car salesman for a recruiter, so nothing really surprised me once I was there. Then during A.I.T. we had to attend a black "history" month assembly where we heard a few black veterans speak about their experiences in a segregated military.
As you can imagine, it degenerated into a rant-filled hate fest and afterwards a few fights broke out between white soldiers and a few of the more easily-provoked simians.
I was Airborne & one of the "soldiers" from 2nd platoon in my company (who was a leg) actually put together a petition and gave it to our company commander and said petition contained twenty five signatures of other "soldiers" in that platoon, whereby they demanded that all Airborne qualified soldiers in our company would no longer be permitted to wear our maroon berets because they felt it created a "class distinction" between us and them. Quoth the ring leader, "We are made to feel inferior.", this despite the fact that not one of us ever made a disparaging comment to any of them, we pretty much kept to ourselves. Luckily our company commander was having none of it and he dressed this leg down in front of the whole company.
I recently talked a friends son out of joining and I told him that all of the bullshit he sees on tv and college campuses is now peppered throughout the military as well.

  2. This is just sickening. I am not military, so I can only speak as a civilian, but it seems to me that this all has to do with a race to the unspoken, perceived least common denominator, over some sort of ill-conceived "guilt". Women are the fairer sex, shhh, don't talk about it, don't even acknowledge it, pretend it doesn't exist, just let them into our "club", and wear red shoes to prove our commitment to the non-existence of a difference. (If there WAS no difference, WHY the red shoes? Hmm?) Open the borders, because there's no difference between a citizen and an illegal, so welcome them with open arms, even though the whole reason they're invading is BECAUSE there's a difference. Lower the test standards and stop punishing kids who misbehave, because there's no difference between the races. It's pretty simple. There IS a difference, in ALL of these things and more, and that's not inherently (necessarily) a bad thing...but the ones with the ostensible "advantage" must prostrate themselves out of guilt for receiving said "advantage", thereby supposedly leveling the playing field. It's the whole reason for trophies to the losers. At this rate, we'll all be living in caves in short order.

There IS a difference. It's not institutional. It's NATURE. They killed God because they couldn't control him. Now they're trying to kill Nature. They're coming for the individual next.

  3. "I recently talked a friends son out of joining..."

A friend's son I can understand. My son? When the time comes he'll get the speech.

"Son. If you want to sign up to protect your country, understand that one day your task may require turning your talents on the people giving the orders."

  4. Or turning his talents on We, the People.....

  5. Two sons in the military - both got the warning that they may one day have to disobey the very ones they swore to obey.
