U.S. military pilots who have returned from the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq are confirming that they were blocked from dropping 75 percent of their ordnance on terror targets because they could not get clearance to launch a strike, according to a leading member of Congress.Could there be an ulterior motive for this refusal to approve strikes? We ask the tough questions here at the Intergalactic Source of Truth.Strikes against the Islamic State (also known as ISIS or ISIL) targets are often blocked due to an Obama administration policy to prevent civilian deaths and collateral damage, according to Rep. Ed Royce (R., Calif.), chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
* * * *
Jack Keane, a retired four-star U.S. general, agreed with Royce’s assessment of the administration’s policy and blamed President Barack Obama for issuing orders that severely constrain the U.S. military from combatting terror forces.
“This has been an absurdity from the beginning,” Keane said in response to questions from Royce. “The president personally made a statement that has driven air power from the inception.”
“When we agreed we were going to do airpower and the military said, this is how it would work, he [Obama] said, ‘No, I do not want any civilian casualties,’” Keane explained. “And the response was, ‘But there’s always some civilian casualties. We have the best capability in the world to protect from civilians casualties.’”
However, Obama’s response was, “No, you don’t understand. I want no civilian casualties. Zero,’” Keane continued. “So that has driven our so-called rules of engagement to a degree we have never had in any previous air campaign from desert storm to the present.”[1]
Americans may exit from the stage of history but it will be seriously worth it if "history" will only say, "They were faithful to the very end to their rules of engagement."
Are we finally being presented with the bill for choosing as president a paperless freak of a man who started his political career in the living room of two communist terrorists? In your view, are "communist terrorists" and "U.S. national security interests" two phrases that naturally go together? Did Obama take too seriously to heart the "Reverend" Wright's "God damn America!"?

I think many of the American people have reached the same conclusion as I have. From his various slips of the tongue, referring to himself as a muslim to his description of the call to prayer as the most beautiful sound he's ever heard. His insanely constrictive rules of engagement for our troops, in the air and on the ground, coupled with the purge of military leaders with combat experience and replacing them with toadies who will enact any of the ridiculous social engineering programs he and his cabal of women advisors can come up with, which have all done more to defeat our military than any foe our troops have faced, to his insistance on importing thousands of muslims to the exclusion of any Christians, going so far as to deport Iraqi Christian families already here and living in America for some time now, Obama is, if not a practicing muslim, a man with strong muslim sympathies. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Although I don't think this malevolent man-child believes in any power greater than himself, his core beliefs were shaped in Indonesia, where he was raised as a muslim and were further inculcated in the reverend Wright's "church." Communist family members, mentors and associates have all shaped Comrade Zero's anti-American world view. The only question I and many others have is why have our Republican "leaders" and media gone along with the charade that Obama has America's best interest at heart?
ReplyDeleteIndeed Gwynne!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... and he seemed like such a nice, smiley, golfing President. So your saying he is taking the interests of a brutal, morally bankrupt, political action group, global in nature, masked as a religion with world domination on it's agenda, over the interests of our very own sovereign people??
ReplyDeleteSeems about right.
I suspect the phase we're in now is watching the fire from a safe distance as it burns the house down, not realizing that it soon will engulf us all. Some thinking that voting (laughing out loud here) will somehow magically stop the insanity... It will prolong it for sure, nothing more.
I believe it best to accept reality... base decisions on said reality and prepare for the outcome. There are a few scenarios out there, one or another will fit like a glove. The scenario where everything is all right... that one is fantasy. Not reality. Sorry.
"The only question I and many others have is why have our Republican "leaders" and media gone along with the charade that Obama has America's best interest at heart?"
ReplyDeleteBecause they share the same objectives?
I think this story is an exaggeration. The number of sorties not dropping ordinance on the mooslims is probably 99%.
ReplyDeleteYou can bet your bottom dollar or rouble as the case may that Vladamir Putin would find such an instruction to his own pilots as mystifying a way to fight an enemy as the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteGwynn, that's an excellent distillation of all that is odd, off, or wrong about this man. Add in a doctored "birth certificate," his Social Security number belonging to a dead man, his drug use, and his homosexuality and it's beyond clear that this man is a freak who's as American as a Wahhabi imam. Whatever interests this guy has in mind when he makes decisions, they sure aren't American interests.
ReplyDeleteMr. Landro, the Dorothy-makes-it-back-to-Kansas scenario isn't going to happen, as you ably point out. Sad to say, only economic privation and/or disaster is going to wake up the Western people and it's anything but clear that it will all go back together again in ways that are familiar to us now. Good and bad in that but the Constitution is just gone so far as American political thinking is concerned. A lot of effort will be expended to reestablish the dreamlike redistributionist polity that afflicts us now.
ReplyDeleteKG, that's been made unmistakably clear by Boehner and McConnell sitting on their shields since the last election. There is no "Republican" vision, just Democrat butt boy.
ReplyDeleteMr. Texan, your sardonic humor is likely 100% on the money.
ReplyDeleteAnon, Putin is no fool. Would that we had a leader with his insight, poise, intelligence, and firmness.
