Adios to the middle class.

In America, Europe, China, Japan, and the many other places in the world where there was an existing or emerging middle class, the global economy, which globalists in the U.S. and the EU promised us would bring more economic prosperity, has caused the opposite through downward pressure on wages due to global competition. When the beginnings of these trends first began to emerge with events like Rockefeller going to China in the 1970s and the creation of NAFTA, GATT, and the WTO, etc., the American people were told through a corporate controlled media that this would allow Americans to prosper in the new global market place.

Of course, the globalists knew what the real outcome would be from the beginning.[1]

Also, much downward pressure on U.S. workers, if not outright displacement, from our insane diabolical embrace of open borders and encouragement of mass illegal and legal immigration.

  1. Entitlements plus cheap illegal labor depress upward movement into the middle class.
QE + ZIRP elevate by bubble the top end.
Disparity between rich and poor produced by government action.
Hence, decreasing middle class as the entitlement class approach the remnant middle class.
    Decreased manufacturing.
Who will save us when the bubble bursts?
Perhaps, it will be the elite, the "rule by the proletariat".
Perhaps, Nikita Kruchev will be prophetic. "Russia does not have to destroy America with missles; America will destroy from within". Maybe that is why he backed down in Cuba.
Perhaps we can return to the American culture, e pluribus unim, work hard mentally and physically for reward.
Take care of one's family. Voluntary, not forced charity. Charity of heart, good will toward men.

  2. Good point about Nikita. The chance of returning to anything like normality is slim in my view. As I am fond of saying, the entire world was faced with a threat from the Marxists and Fabians that had never been seen in history. Beginning in the late 1890s, if not before (as seen in the hubris of the Enlightenment), a determined, hostile ideology began to gnaw away at the vitals of Western civilization in particular. That malevolent force, so beloved of intelligent and educated people and the proletariat, soaked through the entire fabric of our civilization and infects us even today with horrifying power. That force cannot be overcome by normal people afflicted with normalcy bias. They cannot understand that degree of malevolence as having taken root in what is obviously a magnificent civilization.

The universal franchise ensured the participation of the least capable, the least understanding, the least industrious, and the least moral and now only a ghastly demonstration of God's law or the iron laws of arithmetic will right things. Look at the popular enthusiasm for the corrupt, power-hungry Hillary. There's zero chance of any kind of an epiphany among her supporters.

It will come down to exactly the reality in that quote from Thessalonians. A diseased body politic cannot go on forever.
