Just a flag.

If "white privilege" (i.e., what you gain in life from thrift, discipline, frugality, education, sacrifice, marriage, non-criminal behavior) ticks blacks off, well, this kind of black arrogance and ignorance (below) ticks me off.

If former Navy Petty Officer Ervin were air dropped (with parachute) into any of the black-ruled countries in this world, within a month she'd be begging to be allowed back into this land that she detests so much, that has wronged her with every breath that she takes.

The usual ignorant garbage relieved by a rare example of appropriate official action instead of the usual cowardice:

Petty Officer 2nd Class Janaye Ervin was promptly stripped of her security clearance, assigned to menial labor for a few days, then shown the exit hatch.

On Sept. 19, Ervin refused to stand for the anthem while on reserve duty at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. She claimed she was trying to make a statement about the persecution of blacks in America, the International Business Times reported.

“I just didn’t want to stand at that moment,” Ervin said. “I can’t stand for this song knowing that the song isn’t for me, being black. The song doesn’t represent me at all. To be honest, I never really thought about the flag my entire life, I had no reason to. It’s just a flag.”[1]

Here's one of her soul mates:

  1. Someone failed in her recruitment and boot camp training. Once you sign the dotted line you 1) give up the ability to do as you see fit and 2) basically give up all Constitutional protections. You have only those granted under the UCMJ. She got what she deserved. The Navy needs to review recruit quality and her leadership from boot camp to this event. How did this person make it to the PO ranks??

  2. It never fails to amaze me when mediocrities wake up one day and decide that their moronic opinions are sure be of interest to the world at large.

I suppose there's no way to ID these fools at the git but kudos to the Navy for acting swiftly and appropriately when the pathology appeared.
