It Can Be Hell...

     ...living in a household populated by the terminally silly.

     Recently I decided, entirely upon a whim, to get a centerpiece for our coffee table. In perusing various possibilities, I happened upon one that tickled my fancy:

     I think it looks rather nice: simple yet attractive, and as a bonus it drives our four cats completely BLEEP!ing nuts. But the forces of silliness would not let matters rest there. The next day the following note appeared beside it:

     I think, in the words of Ebenezer Scrooge, that “I shall retire to Bedlam.”
