Exercising the write-in option in the voting booth ought to be as common as a lie on MSNBC but it sit there as an option like a sword in its scabbard. Somehow the write-in has joined the initiative, referendum and recall in the voters' imagination.
Ditto the impeachment tool. It's treated like the nuclear option of American politics but it should be used to clean house routinely regardless of the tears and tantrums of the insiders.
