"10 Ways the Communist Manifesto has Infiltrated the USA." By Joe Jarvis, ZeroHedge, 8/12/20.All excellent points in this article. I particularly like the point about illusory property ownership. Having paid off a mortgage last year on property I own, I now get to appreciate the naked truth about property taxes. I don't own my property outright it seems. I must rent it from the country to the tune of some $300 a month to fund expenditures for purposes that I effectively have no say over. High school classes on "white privilege" or "gender fluidity"? Why, what could be better? Here let me help pay for that noise.
Then there's the matter of the citizen's labor. We all know that we labor until early May each and every year to pay our taxes to federal, state, and local governments. Four months of corvee labor there. Or am I missing something? At least we get contractors to build our Great Walls these days.
I produce yet again a statistic I internalized some time in the early '90s. I can't source it any more. What source I recorded has long since been swallowed up in not a few hunks of computer plastic and silicon I've owned over the decades. Be that as it may, someone once pointed out that around 1990 the average family of four paid something like 22% of its income in income and employment taxes. Flash back to 1948, and the percentage was . . . wait for it . . . 2%. Same problem as illuminated by Tax Freedom Day but a little more up close and personal. Women essentially were driven into the workplace to pay the taxes (and heavy expenses for childcare by strangers). In essence, kids have been delivered into the hands of strangers to be raised and educated until their 18th year. Also highlighted by Mr. Jarvis.
Our troops are often said to be "protecting our freedoms" but that seems hollow when seen in the glare of government parasitism, control, oppression, and abdication at every level that only grow stronger and more immune to citizen rejection each year. Every word in the Communist Manifesto is there to justify total control of the individual and you may count the steps in that direction. The forms of our constitutional republic speak the word "liberty" but the reality is tyranny.
So, Jarvis has the fascinating but depressing story. Clearly, we need to take to heart Confucius's warning that if we allow words to have false meanings the ruler ends up being unable to formulate right policies. Black failure, rejectionism, and hatred today come out of the word machine as insuperable problems due to "structural racism." And it goes downhill from there. And, channeling Jarvik, "tyranny" comes out as "our constitutional republic, free speech, and the rule of law." Communism being tyranny in case no one has not noticed.
