Your books ...My goodness, but you can write, Fran.

Your books are the only books I've paid for on my Nook. I tend to read old, public domain works.Weetabixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06106614092497408546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557458849091969678.post-89173715049758211152012-09-11T05:38:26.431-04:002012-09-11T05:38:26.431-04:00Gah! Sorry for the verbiosity!
Suppose we lose t...Gah! Sorry for the verbiosity!

Suppose we lose the election? Suppose Ann Barbhardt and several others are correct that this means the United States of America as we know it are OVER.

What then?

Some have said we should move all Conservatives to New Hampshire or somewhere where we'll have a majority. (Ann figures we'll all rot in the 10th circle of hell. . . deservedly.)

But, really, if Obama wins and in the next few months after the election all you (us) armed guys, commentators and Conservative patriots figure that America is going to hell in a hand-basket and figure that we've passed a point of No Return. . . then what?

Do you take to the airwaves, calling out wimpy statist Republicans? Do you stop paying taxes? Do you take to the streets, shouting and shooting?

Do you head for the hills with 6 month's worth of food and figure you'll come back after the collapse and set things right?

I'd suggest we instead head for Autsralia.

I KNOW! Canada is closer, and plenty of Canadians look on us Conservatives kindly, but Canada already has a fairly pernicious politically correct crowd, even if they have kept their debt under better control than we have.

Meanwhile, of course, Australia has the same cracked liberty bell we have. . . those indigenous peoples and stuff. And, they're right next door to Indonesia with something like a gazillion Muslims.

But let's face it, short of going to Mars or something, you're not going to find a more receptive society to a bunch of conservative Americans on earth than perhaps. . . . . . South Africa.

Well, maybe Israel, although I understand there is a pretty strong Liberal contingent there. I mean, let's face it, surrounded by Muslims and the "Arab Spring," you have to be pretty Liberal to not be mowing down every fair-minded Arab who is killing Christians and torching churches.

Ack! What? That all seems pretty intolerant?

Hello, child! And what have the United Nations done for you lately?

And do you still think the Americans of the late 1700s and early 1800s weren't exceptional?

Where do you go now to escape the enmities of ancestral arguments? Where do you go to escape the very class wars that Obama engenders? Where do you go to find a breath of fresh air free of all that ancient and petty s**t?

America isn't exceptional? Don't give me the few thousand tribalists that were here. Yeah, we screwed them, but they weren't innocent. America isn't exceptional? Live through the 100 or 30 year's war when Europe killed millions so elites could argue under the guise of religion.

And to HELL with you who say that religion caused more wars and death than "anything else."

PEOPLE caused those wars and death.

People who stopped believing that lying, cheating and stealing were wrong.

Now, given that the United States was created from the outset to be a nation of LAWS and not of men, tell me again why that nation isn't EXCEPTIONAL.

I didn't say "perfect." I said, "exceptional." And it is.

NOW! Where do you go when Obama and Republicans have f**cked this nation in the ass with credit and debt and pretty much guaranteed that it will go ass over teakettle into the murk?

(. . . Australia, or New Zealand. Although I hear that Melbourne is much hotter than San Francisco, even though it seems to be at the same relative meridian. Something about the ocean tides.)
furballnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557458849091969678.post-61182968839946770342012-09-11T04:43:11.113-04:002012-09-11T04:43:11.113-04:00" My job is to protect America, American citi..." My job is to protect America, American citizens, and American interests, Ethan. Whatever that job seems to require, I will do it.

"...politics is supposed to be simple. It’s supposed to be about justice. Right and wrong. Things every schoolchild learns at his mother’s knee."

Granted, 10% of America seem hell-bent on destroying this country and 40% don't seem to know any better, because they've been brought up to believe that "GOVERNMENT = GOOD."

But are we really not inculcating children with "right and wrong" anymore?

Worse, are the Bill Mahers and that fat, supposed-documtarian Michael Moore the arbiters of our social and political morals?

In what universe of free men would we allow little snipers such as a comic with a bevy of writers and a pathetic socialist the tools to use bad language and film to make fun of the very society that allowed them the freedom to do just that?

This one, of course.

There is actually a rather long history of sniping at government. That was before Maher, Maddow, Moore and the rest of the MEDIA decided that anything right of center was worthy of condemnation, no mater what the argument or who made it.

furballnoreply@blogger.com
