At Last! Some Sensible Advice From a Woman

This is something we don't see often enough - a professional woman who doesn't feel the need to be more macho than John Wayne.

I'd like to point out that she is also a rarity, in that she doesn't pretend that a woman who works 60-80 hours a week can function as a good mother. I also stepped back on work during my children's younger years. The older I get, the less I regret doing so.

Even now, when my reduced SS earnings show the price of that choice, for me, it's a no-brainer. Better that time with kids than the most showy executive career on the planet.
