We all know that no dish more complicated than boiled water comes out perfect each and every time. Indeed, when a dish is complex – when it has many ingredients or a complicated, closely-timed method for cooking – it’s likely to come out unsatisfactory rather often. Add that for television purposes, a dish must look good as well as taste good. Which leads us to an overwhelming question:
Who eats the rejects? Stagehands?
