The world's doormat.

“America should be a destination for hard-working immigrants from all over the world,” according to a press release from “top national Republican donors” issued in February 2015.[1]
That's what I thought he said. Good to know those swine are on our side.

It's simpler than I thought. If they check the box labeled "hard working hater of infidels," we let them in.

You have to be somewhat sober and open-minded to get the gist of what the author is saying in "The Reason I'm Anti-Anti-Trump."

Like many commentators today, he understands that you just can't scream, "The politicians have it wrong!"

The repeal of Glass Steagall. the bail-outs, Obamacare, the Fed printing money to boost wall Street while eviscerating savings, and the "stimulus" which helped nobody but Obama's political friends. . .

These cry out for a scream regardless of what Obama has done on the international stage.

So those are good reasons to be "anti-anti-Trump."

But this is a modern world where Assad, Putin, the Ayatollahs, the EU, the Chinese, Kim Jong Whacko and others pay attention to more than just rhetoric, and so should we.

Thus, words matter. So, listen to this

That is a disturbing video at the link you provided. Trump as die hard liberal Democrat. No question.

I'll proceed on the assumption that he's escaped that particular bubble he was in. I grant you that that's not a well-founded assumption.

Alternatively, I think we are far from any kind of intellectual clarity on anything in this country. Liberals hate liberty and conservatives won't stick up for the dominant white culture or for the basics of the Constitution. Has the betrayal on the Constitution on, say, the distortion of the Commerce Clause been on the lips of any conservative in the last 80 years. Plenty of lip service but after a week or two it's business as usual. "Next!" America today is a bastard version of the America of 1789.

So, since a wholesale return to sanity isn't in the offing at all, I'm inclined to say we can recover from policy mistakes on Constitution, taxes, abortion, and health care. But we can't recover from a fatal shift in the demographics.

Ergo, Trump. He's the only one willing to raise that standard. And if he's a secret liberal, at least he's a nationalistic liberal. Scoop Jackson as a possible comparison?

PS - Selwyn Duke at AT noted just now that Trump isn't running as a conservative but as a populist and as an enemy of PC. I'd add nationalists in case Duke didn't though he may have.
