I think it's a shame that The Atlantic didn't stand up to the chorus of bullying against Williamson. I don't always agree with him, but he sure is a fine writer.
The thing Williamson apparently didn't get is - The World of the Left doesn't want interesting, provocative dissent. They want Groupthink - a nodding echo chamber self-congratulating that they are on the "right side of history".

Williamson may learn about the intentions of the Left the hard way, but his demeanor to date put that proposition in doubt.
He does seem to be a bit of a hardhead, doesn't he?
I'm guessing that he will start writing books - maybe segue into fiction? The indy world of publishing would put him in control of his destiny.
