That is coming true in spades in our own time. The insipid, passive mass of Westerners have embraced surrender as though it were the holiest of sacraments.
Say, what was Plato's last name? I wonder about these things. Even Cher has a last name.

Plato was apparently a name he assumed later in life. His original name was Aristocles.
