On The Front Lines

     Be certain that you know where they are:

     Francois Hollande says France is at war with ISIS after two Islamist knifemen butchered a French priest and left a nun fighting for her life before they were both shot dead by police in Normandy.

     One of the men who stormed into the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray near Rouen during mass was a local man, who was being monitored by electronic tag after being jailed for trying to join fanatics in Syria.

     The 84-year-old priest, named as Jacques Hamel, had his throat cut while a nun is critically injured in hospital following the raid which saw five people held hostage by ISIS assailants shouting 'Allahu Akbar'.

     It’s been a public doctrine in Israel for many years that every Israeli, no matter where on Earth he may be, is a front-line soldier. I submit that today the same doctrine applies to:

  • Europeans other than Islamic migrants;
  • Christians everywhere;
  • Jews everywhere;
  • and, of course, Americans.

     To all Europeans who value anything European about Europe: You had better take this to heart, arm yourselves, and get ready to act. Your governments did this to you. You cannot count on them to protect you.

Makes me wonder about the security at my church. Time to ask the pastor uncomfortable questions.

This was 1) only a matter of time and 2) not the last time by far. I'm not surprised that the Catholic church was hit first. In light of history it was the obvious first target.

Please pray for the soul of the martyred priest.

The pastor and the (male) greeters strategically placed at the doors of a church I attended last year, were all concealed carry license holders.

At our current church, there are always men at the door, but I do not think that they are armed.

Apparently the Church had donated the land on which the adjacent mosque was built. Does that not just say it all?

It also reveals how many in the Christian faith serve worldliness before holiness. They are more interested in the accolades that come from "dialog" and "interfaith cooperation" than in their one true mission, which is teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

By donating land for the purpose of building a mosque, is the Church not in fact actually cooperating in the damnation of souls? The Church believes that salvation only comes through Christ, and therefore the mosque attendees are following a false religion. Yet, the Church assisted them in setting up and establishing this mosque. So the Church assisted in leading souls astray, rather than preaching the Gospel of Christ to them. It did so because it was more interested the touchy-feely rewards of modern popular culture than in following its true mandate.

Of the things we have to overcome, Islamic terrorism is hardly the worst such.
