Concerning Kathy Griffin

As it is quite clear that Kathy Griffin’s “beheading” stunt was planned out and carefully executed, it’s impossible to accept her supposed apology as sincere.

Griffin doesn’t regret what she did. If anything, she regrets that the backlash was more than she expected:

“Hey everybody. It’s me, Kathy Griffin. I sincerely apologize. I am just now seeing the reaction of these images.” – Kathy Griffin

Griffin’s behavior since coming into public view – and why was that, exactly? – has consistently displayed a degree of shameless crudity that undermines any claim she might make about having “made a mistake” or having gone “too far.”

In our era, far too many “comedians,” lacking the wit to be genuinely funny, have substituted outrageous behavior for the substance of true humor. When such a “comedian” can score points for some left-liberal cause, the temptation is often too powerful to resist. Griffin is merely one of the tawdrier cases. (Say, remember her “Suck it, Jesus” episode?) Her lack of talent, her willingness to pander to the Left, and her total shamelessness have combined to land her at the nadir of classlessness...and to drill through the bottom to set a new anti-standard.

CNN should wise up and get rid of her. Will it? Doubtful. We’re talking about CNN, after all.

She's not sorry for her behavior. She's sorry she got the blowback that she did. If there is anything sincere in her tone, I missed it.

ANY apology, even if sincere, should not be acceptable. Someone who wouldn't immediately realize how abhorrent such a stunt is BEFORE publicly posting that picture is not someone who should have access to public airwaves (or cable outlets).

BTW, it's looking if CNN is feeling some heat -- she's at least been fired from their New Year's Eve program.

I didn't find her funny before and certainly not funny now, when one is a crass, vulger excuse as a human being, one should slither away and become a cloistered hermit.
