Syria's "civil war."

[The concerns of Imad Moustapha, Syria's ambassador to China] were echoed by a Washington foreign affairs analyst who has closely followed the passage of jihadists through Turkey and into Syria. The analyst, whose views are routinely sought by senior government officials, told me that ‘Erdoğan has been bringing Uighurs into Syria by special transport while his government has been agitating in favour of their struggle in China. Uighur and Burmese Muslim terrorists who escape into Thailand somehow get Turkish passports and are then flown to Turkey for transit into Syria.’ He added that there was also what amounted to another ‘rat line’ that was funnelling Uighurs – estimates range from a few hundred to many thousands over the years – from China into Kazakhstan for eventual relay to Turkey, and then to IS territory in Syria. . . . IHS-Jane’s Defence Weekly estimated in October that as many as five thousand Uighur would-be fighters have arrived in Turkey since 2013, with perhaps two thousand moving on to Syria. Moustapha said he has information that ‘up to 860 Uighur fighters are currently in Syria.’[1]
Some civil war.

Who is this prick who runs Turkey? And why is Turkey still in NATO, that grossly inflated and out-of-control relic?

Has the international order so broken down so that every half-witted megalomaniac think he's got free rein to depose whomever he wishes or to encourage mass immigration to destroy the peace and security of his own nation?

From where I sit the U.S. Constitution means precisely nothing and the U.N. is a useless waste of money and prime East River real estate. Are we back in the time of monarchies and sultans?

CORRECTION (12/29/15): Oops. Logical error. Encouraging mass immigration has nothing to do with a breakdown of the international order. Encouraging it for other nations is an aggressive act and getting away with it is.

Erdogan must have Obama's blessing on this. I would have thought that Obama - indoctrinated in Communism by his mother, grandparents, and his (biological father?) Frank Marshall Davis, would have supported China's Communist government over the Uighurs being smuggled into Syria through Turkey, save for his time in Indonesia. When he went to madrassa there he probably formed some very strong attachments to the imams who taught there, perhaps even joining in for some "bacha bazi" ("boy play") with some of the adult male muslims there. Maybe even his "step-father" Soetero. It must have been a moving experience for him, that he should side with muslims even over the Communists in both China and Russia.

The president of the USA is a Muslim and has been trying to grind the USA into the dirt for some time. But he is not the first. Even the GOP by complicity is also guilty.

I agree, Reg. I think the ambush of the Russian jet was carried off with US Air Force assistance. It was such a transparently minor "violation" and the lie about 10 warnings so obvious that even a man like Erdogan would not have dared to act as he did without an assurance of U.S., I mean "NATO," backing.

I agree that the Muslim influence is the determining one and with avraham that it's more than just influence. Obama is a Muslim and had the press done its job in 2008 we'd know the color of socks worn by his imam back in Indonesia. The Trinity UCC gig was just a beard for Obama so he'd have "cred" in Christian Chicago. Has he gone to church in Washington more than one time? If that.

I have a generally good impression of the step father Soetoro. He apparently thought working for a U.S. (?) company was an ok thing and he and Stanley Ann apparently had a falling out over that. She couldn't stand his good opinion of "the man," if that's the right way to put it. He also just doesn't look that creepy to me. Hard to believe he would have joined in with any of that vintage Muslim grab ass.

The communist influence is strong with Obama, no lie. Davis, the New Party, and Jarrett's relatives, if not herself. I think, though I can't substantiate this, that the loyalty among most American commies was to the Soviet variety. There were some who included the Chinese variety in their dreams but I think China was much too weak and internally focused for a long time -- and not a little wild and strange -- for it to be a widespread phenomenon. I can't see Obama having any great affection for China and the Muslim agenda would be more appealing to him. Who else has he helped in the last seven years? The Saudis, Qataris, the MB, local Muslims, Turkey, al Qaida, ISIS. It sure isn't Americans.

Avraham, the GOP is indeed complicit. If they had WANTED to help Obama, how would they have acted differently from the way they have already? Ryan and Boehner apparently worship the ground the Pelosi walks on. It must be all that plastic surgery that dazzles them.

Thanks for the clarification on his step-father. I thought I had read he was involved in some of the unrest and anti-government activity, but if true, perhaps that was a good thing, as long as it didn't push the country towards islam and sharia. As our government has done in Libya, Egypt, and Syria.

Knowing Stanley Ann disagreed with him can only be in his favor. I'm sure she didn't have that problem with Davis or Obama Sr. But as much as Obama was influenced toward Soviet-style Communism, I do feel his muslim attachment to islam has a stronger pull. A life under Soviet Communism as practiced back in the fifties would be preferable to sharia, but I don't think anyone - except maybe Raul Castro - is practicing old-style Communism anymore.
