A Quick Reminder: Beauty Is For All To Enjoy

In all the years I’ve been blogging, I’ve never done a cheesecake post, but something about the morning – Happy Pi Day, by the way – has prompted one. Probably my amusement at the dying gasps and murmurs of political correctness.

America is a rich nation. One of the demonstrations is the extent to which American women, even when at work, willingly go to beautify and glamorize themselves. It’s testimony to our success in making our workplaces and our homes safe, comfortable, and accommodating. At any rate, here are a few snaps of quotidian beauty, as various women prepare for – or relax during or after – the chores of their day:

Making sure the bills are paid on time:

“Are you sure you can’t improve the plea bargain, Mr. D.A.?”

Just taking a moment to check her Facebook page:

On her coffee break:

“I’m ready to take your dictation, sir.”

“Now where did I leave the car?”

And finally, the Employee of the Month Year Century:

Some people disparage the female form divine. Sex is too good for them; they should have been oysters. – Robert A. Heinlein

In closing: To those who marvel at how far, in both effort and expense, women will go to attract attention with their looks, remember always: Women are just as competitive as men. But while men compete largely through their occupations and pastimes, women compete largely through their faces, bodies, and clothes. And in a truly healthy society, through their cooking:

(Hey, I told you it was a cheesecake post!)

Yum. Daddy like. Too many women have gone from being attractive, vibrant humans to frumpy, bitchy bores. There are a few good ones still around. Often you can find them at the gym, wearing functional, yet attractive clothing, and working to make themselves healthier, which is the basis for all physical attraction.

But fear not, one day the worm will again turn and we will live surrounded by vibrant beauty once more.

Olivia Mann, from the under appreciated TV show ‘Chuck’. Nice.
